NOTICE OF MG#1 AND MG#4 COMMON LAW HOLDERS MEETINGS AND ILUA AUTHORISATION MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a MG#1 and MG#4 common law holders meeting will be held as follows:

Date: Wednesday, 13 November 2024

Place: MG Conference Room, 19 Chestnut Drive, Kununurra

Time: 12:00 noon, being directly after the Annual General Meeting of MG Corporation

IMPORTANT:

The MG#1 and MG#4 common law native title holders to consider and make decisions in relation to authorising the MG#1 PBC, the MG#4 PBC and MG Corporation to enter into an Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) with the State Government of Western Australia and register the ILUA in accordance with the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth).

MG CORPORATION GENERAL MEETINGS AGENDA

3. Proposal to cancel the MG Corporation membership of Carrisa Birch under Rule:
   • 7.8.1 Cancelling membership upon Dawang Council recommendation
4. Objection to cancellation of Carissa Birch’s membership
5. Proposed Resolution
   • The members of Yawoorroong Miriuwung Gajerrong Yirrgeb Noong Dawang Aboriginal Corporation (“MG Corporation”) resolve to cancel Carissa Birch’s membership of MG Corporation under rule 7.8.1. Noting:
   • The Dawang Council Resolution FY25.02 #R13 passed on the 9 September 2024: o The Dawang Council resolve that Carissa Birch should be removed as an MG Corporation member under rule 7.8.1 (a) (i) due to the serious breach of the Traditional Laws and Customs of the MG People.
   • That Carissa Birch has objected to the cancellation of her membership.
   • That the procedure for cancellation laid out in Rule 7.8.2 has been followed.
